Course description

This seminar will provide an overview of open science and help PhD students understand why a researcher should care about open science; it will familiarize students with terms related to open research that they will encounter throughout their academic life. Content will be shared under the following main headings:

  • Definition and benefits of open science, open research, open data
  • Open Access publishing and related terms
  • Open Science in Turkey

  2. Demonstrate open science opportunities for researchers, science and society at different stages of the research lifecycle
